TAO Spa Day is to my body what Yom Kippur is to my soul: a Day of physical At-One-Ment that I spend immersed in gentle tranquility and sacred space with my TAO family. Beyond what is considered as pampering (a luxury of vanity and self indulgence), the day takes on the aura of a quieted journey of inner retrospection for discovering awareness in those parts of my physical being that I too often take for granted or simply ignore. It's far too infrequent that I allow for a complete day of gentle rest and guided awareness to awaken me to the subtle signals my body sends to my brain and that sadly gets drowned amid the static of internal chatter, obsessing, and thinking.

Additionally - and equally important - Spa Day down time enables me to converse meaningfully with members of my TAO family who I joyfully greet when I see them at services, but who I have not have the opportunity to really get to know at a deeper, more authentic level of understanding.

Spa Day is time to hit the pause button "doing" and simply just "be".
