Letter from our President

Dear TAO Family,

It has been a long time since I tried my hand at writing. Like a new hand at the rodeo, I will jump in with both feet and speak to you from the heart.

When I came to TAO six years ago at Anne Kurtzman’s suggestion, I was bowled over by the warmth and friendly atmosphere. I had been unaffiliated my entire adult life because I was never comfortable at other temple services. Within a short time I realized that I was on to something different here. I found myself not only joining TAO but fully participating in temple events. I knew I had found the community I never knew existed, and that I had come home.

I know that many of you feel the same way as I do. It is so important that we continue to grow, and for that we need your financial support by way of your continued membership. It is not only important, it is essential for our community and spiritual development.

TAO provides many vehicles for this pursuit. Our Shabbat services are only the start. You can feel the incredible energy that we generate through our song and prayers. And that growth and energy continues to flow through the Wisdom Class, the Women’s and Men’s spirituality groups and the intimate services on Saturday mornings at Rabbi Marc’s home.

Now is the time for renewal. And membership in Jewish Renewal through TAO is one of the best ways to ensure that you will have an extended family, a place for your soul, a support system for the good and bad times, and Rabbinic leadership for many years to come. So, please renew your commitment and financial support so that on the High Holy Days, you can attend as a member of our temple family.
